Validation Data

Out-of-Sample or Hold-Back data used to determine the true performance of a model. This data is not used in the modeling process (fitting or optimization).

Virtual Sensor

A mathematical formula or system that estimates product properties or process conditions using other physical sensor readings to calculate the estimated property or condition.
