An Example (and Real) Intellect Architecture
While the big diagram below loads, we'll explain what you are going to see. The diagram shows an unnamed customer's system that predicts product production rates (the customer does not have measures of individual unit production) and optimizes each individual unit operation, any combination of unit operations and can simultaneously optimize the overall operation. This magical feat of flexibility comes from Process Intellect's "Command And Control" logic, that enable Intellect's optimizers to coordinate their activities. Also shown is a battery of machine surveillance components that are keeping watch on the unit operations and if something "funky" happens, automatically switches the optimization off for that unit, set's flags/alarms in the Distributed Control System (DeltaV in this case) and sends emails to the parties responsible.
Also, a heartbeat process is continually running sending signals to the control system that Process Intellect is "alive". If there is a server or network failure, the control system is instructed to sound an alert and go into manual.
All data handling, modeling and optimization scheme development were done with iManageData, iUnderstand, iImprove and the Live Optimizer respectively. The machine surveillance schemes were developed using BioComp Anomaly.
